Abstract
GEO 600, an interferometric gravitational wave detector, is an advanced interferometer with 600 m arm length and dual recycling. To achieve the planned strain sensitivity, the lasers must fulfill extreme stability requirements regarding frequency, amplitude, and spatial beam quality. In order to separate the problem of stabilization from high power output the lasers system for GEO 600 will consist of an injection locked high power laser and a stabilized low noise master oscillator.
