My research focuses on (discrete) differential geometry. My specific interests include discrete Riemann surfaces and discrete period matrices. I also conduct research on the modeling of the right ventricle of the heart. Further topics in my work include smooth discrete surfaces, the mean curvature flow of polyhedra, as well as curvatures and the smoothness of polyhedral surfaces. Additionally, I work on discrete holomorphic spinors on Riemann surfaces and their connections to statistical physics.

At Leibniz Universität Hannover, my teaching load consists of 10 contact hours in geometry and the organization of course tutorials. I hold a ZEWK Certificate in Higher Education Teaching from TU Berlin. In addition to university teaching, I serve as a lecturer at summer academies of the Studienstiftung, the international summer camp of "Kangaroo of Mathematics," and for "Jugend trainiert Mathematik." Furthermore, I lead mathematical student circles for grades 5 to 11 and have lectured at preparatory seminars for the Berlin Mathematics Olympiad.

I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Technische Universität Berlin between 2011 and 2014, graduating with "summa cum laude." Prior to this, I completed my Diplom in Mathematics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2007 to 2011 (final grade 1.0) and spent a year studying abroad at ETH Zürich (2009–2010). I received my Abitur from the Herder-Schule in Berlin in 2007. Additionally, I acquired certificates in science communication from the WissKomm Academy and the ZEWK at TU Berlin.

Since April 2025, I hold a permanent position as a researcher and lecturer in Differential Geometry at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Previously, I worked as a Research Associate at Technische Universität Berlin from 2018 until mid-2024. In the summer of 2024, I was a Visiting Researcher (Junges ZiF) at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Bielefeld. My career also includes postdoc positions as a DAAD P.R.I.M.E. Fellow at the Université de Genève (2017) and research stays through the European Post-Doctoral Institute (EPDI) at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, IHÉS in Bures-sur-Yvette, the Erwin Schrödinger International Institute in Vienna, and the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge (2015–2016). Earlier, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at TU Berlin from 2010 to 2011.
