Research interests
I specialise in the interactions between coastal vegetation and hydrodynamics with the aim of strengthening natural coastal protection. My work focuses on analysing the biomechanical properties of plants and understanding their influence on flow and wave dynamics. My research approach combines ecological insights with engineering methods to quantify the ecosystem services provided by coastal vegetation. In doing so, I focus on developing sustainable coastal protection strategies that both protect the environment and meet human needs
