In Voruntersuchungen konnte eine Erweichung des Knochenzements bei einer induktiven Erwärmung metallischer Probekörper nachgewiesen werden. Basierend auf diesen Erkenntnissen ist es das Ziel des Teilprojektes, geeignete Erwärmungsstrategien für eine induktiv-gestützte Implantatentfernung zu erarbeiten, um in naher Zukunft Revisionsoperationen besonders gewebeschonend durchzuführen. Dazu wird ein numerisches Modell des induktiven Erwärmungsprozesses entwickelt, um Wechselwirkungen der induktiv erwärmten Implantate mit realen Geweben zu berücksichtigen.
Das Teilprojekt verfolgt dabei folgende zentrale Fragestellungen:
- Mit welchen Strategien kann eine ausreichende und homogene induktive Grenzflächenerwärmung an komplexen Implantatgeometrien erreicht werden, ohne das umliegende Gewebe zu schädigen?
- Welche Mechanismen bestimmen die Reduktion der Auszugskräfte infolge der Implantaterwärmung ?
- Unter welchen Bedingungen kann eine vollständige Implantatentfernung erreicht werden, um das übliche knochenzerstörende Meißeln zu umgehen?
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Teilprojekten des SFB/Transregio TTR 298 wird die Detektion von Implantatlockerungen genutzt, um eine Implantatregeneration mit schonender Implantatentfernung im Hinblick auf die Entwicklung neuartiger und intelligenter Implantatsysteme zu erreichen.
