Abstract
It is very pleasant that this publication provides an up-to-date international comparison and discussion of land policy approaches in Europe, so that we can learn from each other. In recent years sustainable and more socially acceptable approaches to land policy are required. They are now on the political agenda in many European countries and are demanded by the general public. Therefore, a scientific publication that presents experiences from 12 European countries following a mutual case-based approach is beneficial.
