Abstract

Here, we use a novel spectroscopic ellipsometer-based surface plasmon resonance biosensor for the detection of the bacterium Escherichia coli K12. An electro-optic phase modulator is used to generate the phase shift in millisecond time resolution. Both amplitude and phase modulations are measured under resonance condition.
